Overview of the Template

When you make a copy of the template, you will notice that there are seven tabs available in the excel sheet. Each of these tabs, besides the Overall View tab, reflects the endpoints that you can find within the API Developer.

Keywords + Share of Voice

The Keywords + Share of Voice tab is where you can enter estimated values needed for Keyword and Share of Voice data to see the total number of calls to get all the information you require. Add in your estimated number of keywords, keyword search volume, and share of voice that you will need in the areas that state Adjust.

The Results Per Page tells you how many results per page each call will return.

The # of times per month to request data lets you update how many times per month you wish to receive this data.

For this tab, we suggest entering the estimated data into each endpoint before adjusting the number of times per month you wish to request data. This way you know how many requests might come in per month. If it's not enough then you can adjust the monthly return to get more data.

Product Database

The Product Database tab allows you to enter estimated values needed to perform a query of the Jungle Scout product catalog based on specified filters. Add in your estimated number of ASINs that you want returned in the area that states Adjust.

Due to the low number of calls coming in for Product Database, it would be a great idea for you to have the # of times per month to request data set higher. For example, if you request ~200 ASINs to be pulled in this will only require 2 calls. So having the requested data come in around 4+ times a month would be great to receive all the data you need.

Sales Estimate

The Sales Estimate tab allows you to enter estimated values needed to perform a query for a list of specified ASINs over a period of time. This endpoint is great to determine price and sales volume over time. Add in your estimated number of ASINs that you want returned in the area that states Adjust.

Overall View

The Overall View tab is where you will find your monthly and yearly costs for all the calls required to receive the data you need. The Overall View data is calculated by entering the estimated values in all other tabs.

The first table is where each API endpoint is listed individually. This is where you will find the information for the number of calls needed per month, you will also get a breakdown of the individual calls of each endpoint.

The final table is the breakdown of price and which pricing tier you would fall under. There are three pricing tiers - Entry (Tier 1), Middle (Tier 2), Large (Tier 3).

Finally, you will get an estimated cost per month and year. If the monthly/yearly cost is out of budget or below budget you can always go back and update your template to get the tier and costs you desire.
