Export Charts from Market Analysis (PNG & CSV)
Hover over any chart in Market Analysis and click the download button to export it as an image or a CSV. Export a clean PNG ready to drop into a deck, a QBR, or a client email, or export the underlying CSV so the numbers work in Excel formulas and BI imports right away.
New MCP Tools: Seller Central & Vendor Central Data Access
The assistant can now answer questions about your org's connected Amazon account at daily grain - the same data behind Cobalt's dashboard widgets. Three new tools are available:
- query_seller_central_performance - 3P sales & traffic actuals, including Buy Box win rate, organic vs ad-attributed revenue, and B2B vs consumer sales
- query_vendor_central_performance - 1P sales actuals, including what Amazon is ordering, shipped-unit payouts, and net PPM trends
- query_vendor_central_inventory - 1P inventory & supply chain, including aged inventory, chronic out-of-stocks, and open PO fill rate
All three support grouping by product/brand/marketplace, day/week/month trends, and threshold screening. Note: to protect against upstream query timeouts, requests are currently capped at a 31-day window at a time, with a limit on the number of data points returned per request.
Market Analysis Rating Count Filter Fix
The Rating Count filter in Market Analysis was incorrectly filtering on Reviews - this has been corrected to filter on ratings. This filter isn't commonly used today, but any segments previously saved with this filter may see a change in selected products now that it works off the correct field.
Keywords Tab in Market Analysis, and Market Analysis Reaches General Availability
The new Keywords tab is live in Market Analysis, and Market Analysis is now out of beta and generally available to all Cobalt customers. The Keywords tab connects a segment's search visibility to its market performance across three sub-tabs:
- Keywords - search volume, Share of Voice vs Market Share, movers, and the top organic/sponsored brand per keyword
- Brand Visibility - SOV leaderboards and trends by brand, overall / organic / sponsored
- Product Visibility - the same at ASIN level, showing which products actually show up on the search page
Click any keyword, brand, or product to open its drawer for the full trend.
Ask Cobalt about the Segment You're Viewing
Open Ask Cobalt on a saved Market Analysis segment and it already knows which one, so you can start asking questions without describing the segment first.
- Start asking about a saved segment without naming it first
- Keep the context attached when you continue the conversation on the main chat page
- Context awareness is coming to more pages, so Ask Cobalt will understand what you're looking at across the app
Ask about Amazon DSP Performance
The Cobalt AI Chat and MCP now answer Amazon DSP questions, not just Sponsored Ads, so you can track DSP spend, sales, and ROAS by asking in plain language (requires a connected Amazon DSP account).
- Track DSP spend, sales, and ROAS by advertiser, order, line item, or creative
- See which line items aren't delivering and where budget landed by site, placement, and supply source (Twitch, Fire TV, and more)
- Compare audience segments on cost-per-order and conversion rate, with trends over time
To learn more about the MCP or get access, contact your CSM.
Subscribe and Save Visibility Available in Market Analysis Products Table
A new optional column shows a Subscribe and Save badge in the Products table if a product has recently had SnS available. Enable it from table options.
Improve Share of Voice Skill in AI Chat
Cobalt's first in-app AI Chat Skill has arrived: Improve Share of Voice. Trigger it from the + button in AI Chat, or by typing "/" to pull up the Skills menu. Requires a saved US Market Analysis segment; other marketplaces are coming soon.
Float AI Chat
You can now access AI Chat from any page in the app without losing your place. The new floating, resizable chat panel is available wherever you're working. With it you can:
- Chat from anywhere with the floating, resizable panel
- Use it responsively across screen sizes
- Browse and reopen past chat sessions
- Search across your chat history
MCP: Your Market Analysis Segments Now Work with the MCP
Ask about your saved segments in plain English - the assistant already knows them, and its answers match what you see in Market Analysis. Ask things like "Which of my segments should I look at?" or "Top products in my strollers segment this year" - no filters to rebuild, no ASINs to paste, just ask.
MCP: Portfolio-Level Ad Performance Queries
You can now pull Amazon Ads portfolio data directly through the MCP. Query any brand's portfolios for spend, sales, ACoS, and orders, trend a portfolio week-over-week or month-over-month, filter to specific portfolios, and compare same-SKU ROAS.
New MCP Tools: Competitive Offers on Your Own ASINs
Two new tools help diagnose Buy Box loss and spot sellers on your listings. Both require a connected Seller/Vendor Central account and only work on ASINs in your own catalog:
- analyze_competitive_offers - product-anchored; pass your ASINs to see every seller competing on them, who's winning the Buy Box and at what price, new/unauthorized sellers, seller feedback scores, FBA/FBM split, and period-over-period share changes
- analyze_seller_product_offers - seller drill-down; pass a seller ID plus a shortlist of your ASINs to see their price and Buy Box share on each over time
Note: these tools don't yet flag MAP violations directly - that's coming in a follow-up tool.
Ads Data Is Now Live in the Cobalt MCP Server
You can now ask the assistant about your connected Amazon Ads account, not just market-wide estimates. Two new tools shipped:
- query_ad_performance - spend, ad sales, ACoS/ROAS, CPC, and CTR at campaign, ad group, advertised-product, or whole-account level, trended by day/week/month, with ACoS/TACoS/CPU goals joined in automatically
- query_ad_targeting - keyword targets with bid and match type, shopper search terms that triggered ads, and cost per search term, with filters for wasted-spend hunting
Not yet supported: portfolios, DSP, and hourly/day-parting breakdowns, and keyword relevancy scoring - all tracked as follow-ups.
Seller Contact Info in Market Analysis
Seller contact information is now available in the seller slide-out drawer in Market Analysis. Click any seller to view available contact details - a faster way to understand who is behind a seller account without leaving Market Analysis, especially helpful for compliance workflows.
Market Analysis: AI Filter Voice Support
Click the mic button to describe a segment with your voice instead of typing.
Keyword Search Results in the MCP
See exactly where products rank on an Amazon search results page, week by week, right from the MCP. Ask who ranks at the top of organic results for a keyword, trend a specific ASIN's weekly rank, or compare organic vs. sponsored leaders - weekly or monthly, up to the latest complete week.
Jungle Scout Skills Are Here
Skills for the Jungle Scout MCP package our expert prompting and analysis patterns so your AI assistant follows a proven approach to common Amazon questions, such as benchmarking a brand against a category or finding emerging keywords in a category. Skills are distributed through Jungle Scout's public GitHub repo and work on top of the MCP connection - available now for Claude (bundled into the jungle-scout-cobalt plugin) and ChatGPT (downloadable skills zip).
Legacy Segment Dashboard Templates Rebuilt on Market Analysis
Dashboard templates that ran on the legacy segments data source are being migrated to the new Market Analysis (MA) segment data source.
- 10 templates rebuilt on MA and live now, including Segment Dynamics, Trends & Top Products, Brand Insights, Product Launch Prep, Enhanced Market Intelligence Reporting, Prime Day Prep, and Tariff Insights
- 4 templates retired in favor of the native Market Analysis experience
- 3 templates remain blocked pending platform capabilities (BSR tracking, group-by-month, group-by-segment)
Note: users will need to add a Market Analysis Segment tab filter to see data on the rebuilt templates.
Q2 2026
Cobalt Quarterly Release
Spring 2026 - Speed to Insight
Released April 7, 2026
Move faster from data to decision. This release introduces a completely new Market Analysis experience, AI-powered workflows, and deeper distribution intelligence - all designed to speed up how you go from raw data to confident action.
Variant-Level Estimates for Market Segments & Market Analysis
Your existing segment data just got more granular. Starting April 7, all segment data includes variant-level estimates alongside existing parent-level data - so you can see how each individual variation is selling, whether by size, color, pack, or configuration. Applies to both your existing Market Segments and the new Market Analysis experience, and becomes the new standard for segment data going forward.
Applies to new segments created after April 7\. You'll still have full access to existing segments built at the parent level. No action needed.
Market Analysis
A brand new experience that changes how you work with segments. Market Analysis brings three powerful capabilities together in one place, launching as a 60-day beta on April 7\. You'll see a new Market Analysis section in your left-hand navigation alongside your existing Market Segments.
Instant, Limitless Segments
Segments now build in seconds with no ASIN limits. Define and analyze your competitive landscape without constraints, whether you're tracking 500 ASINs or 500,000. US and DE marketplace data available at launch; CA, MX, and UK coming in the following weeks.
Product Attributes
Leverage variants and attributes - ingredients, positioning themes, and more - to identify the true drivers of consumer demand. Benchmark thematic growth against your brand, category, and competitors to guide innovation and assortment strategy.
Variant-Level Estimates
Market Analysis also includes variant-level estimates, giving you the full picture: variant-level accuracy, instant segment building, unlimited scale, and attribute-level analysis - all in one experience.
Non-agency accounts are enrolled automatically. Agencies interested in joining the beta should reach out to their CSM to discuss access.
AI Workflows
A new AI Analyst experience in Cobalt lets you interact directly with your data through a chat interface. Ask questions, explore trends, and generate reports and visualizations instantly. The first two of many planned workflows - Category Analysis and Benchmarking Analysis - will be available at launch, with more to come.
Launching as a limited closed beta. A small group of customers will be onboarded initially as we refine the experience. Reach out to your CSM if you're interested in participating.
3P Compliance & Distribution Dashboard
Building on the Buy Box and 3P seller insights introduced in October 2025, this new dashboard takes distribution intelligence much further. Monitor authorized and unauthorized sellers across your catalog, see how seller activity and pricing impact your Buy Box performance and revenue, upload and enforce MAP policies at scale, and identify revenue at risk - whether from competitor sellers, your own listing issues, or pricing violations. All from a single, unified view.
Available automatically on April 7 for non-agency accounts. Look for Seller Compliance in your left-hand navigation. Agencies should reach out to their CSM to discuss access.
June 2026
AI Chat in Cobalt
Cobalt AI Chat is a new conversational assistant built right into Cobalt. Built on top of the Jungle Scout MCP, it lets you ask questions in plain language and get answers grounded in your account data and Jungle Scout sales estimates, with chat sessions that remember history so you can keep the conversation going with follow-ups. This is an early release available to a limited set of customers behind a feature flag while the team gathers feedback.
Organization Fiscal Year Date Presets
Organizations can now have a custom fiscal year configured. Once set up, users in that org will see two new date presets: Last Fiscal Year and Fiscal Year to Date. Not yet available in Category Performance, Executive Homepage, and Market Analysis.
View Products Grouped by Parent
You can now toggle between All Products and By Parent in the Products table in Market Analysis. This enables sorting and viewing the table at a parent level, and opens up new ways to dive into data through the parent drawer - including viewing a variant's total revenue in the context of its parent, and attributes on product drawers that weren't visible before.
New MCP Tool: Keyword Share of Voice, Weekly and Historical
You can now ask the MCP how brands stack up in search results for a keyword over time. Get brand-by-brand share of voice trended weekly or monthly, splits by organic vs. sponsored placements and equal- vs. top-position weighting, and day-by-day or above-the-fold detail on request. This is a beta - expect the numbers, options, and wording to keep improving.
AI Workflow Reports for Segments
A new "Segment Analysis" AI report can be generated from both the AI Analyst page and a Segment Detail page. The report supports a specific timeframe (last 4 weeks, last 12 weeks, or last year) and, optionally, a "focus brand" to highlight.
Improved Excel Export Formatting in Market Analysis
Exporting from Market Analysis to Excel now correctly formats columns. Currency, number, percent, boolean, and text values are now stored with their proper type in the file and use Excel formatting to display nicely and work better with sorting.
Sort and Export Products in Drawers
You can now sort product lists in Market Analysis drawers by revenue or units, and export the list directly. This works for quickly exporting a brand's, category's, seller's, or pricing bucket's products.
Take Action on Unauthorized Sellers with Sigil
Sigil partnership banners are now live across the Seller Compliance surfaces, letting brands go straight from identifying unauthorized sellers to starting enforcement. The banner appears on the Seller Compliance overview, in seller slide-outs for unauthorized sellers, and when selecting unauthorized sellers in Seller Compliance or Product Catalog. Clicking opens Sigil's landing page to kick off enforcement.
MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) Support
Brands can now set MAP in Cobalt and immediately see who's violating it, instead of tracking it in spreadsheets.
- Product Catalog → All Products: new MAP and Currency columns with inline editing, plus an "Add MAP via CSV" button for bulk uploads
- Distribution Analysis → Overview: MAP Violations added to the Risk Factors row and Performance Breakdown
- Product → Buy Box Performance: the Offers Over Time chart now shows a MAP reference line to spot offers dipping below MAP
Filter on Units Sold in Market Analysis
Market Analysis now supports filtering on units sold. Works similarly to the existing revenue and price filters, and is integrated with the AI filter out of the box.
Most Recent Value for Risk Factors in Seller Compliance
Seller Compliance now surfaces the latest complete risk factor values. See at a glance the number of unauthorized sellers and products with a suppressed Buy Box detected on the most recent day with complete data (currently about 72 hours ago due to processing lag). Click a metric to see the underlying list of sellers or products.
UX Upgrades in Market Analysis Tabs
A set of upgrades makes every Market Analysis tab faster to read and gain insights from.
- KPI cards: each tab now leads with its headline metrics and how they're trending vs the prior period
- Movers card: biggest gainers and decliners up top, toggleable by revenue, units, or market share
- Smart table filter chips: one-tap presets above the tables
Sellers Tab in Market Analysis
The new Sellers tab lets you break any segment down by the sellers competing in it. See the 1P vs 3P split and FBA vs FBM mix, sellers by country (with a default highlight on % of sellers in China), new and rising sellers entering a market, and click any seller for its full trend detail.
AI Analyst Report PDF Exports
Users can now export AI Analyst reports to PDF. Uses the same mechanism as Dashboards, with PDFs available for download from Exports in the top-right nav.
Additional 1P/3P Visibility in Market Analysis
You can now view 1P/3P over time for a specific product, brand, or category in the drawers. The 1P/3P breakdown is also now shown in the brand and category tables, where it was previously only visible in the product table.
Sellers Filter Support Through Natural Language Prompts
You can now include seller filters in natural language prompts when building segments or applying AI Filters in Market Analysis. Simple prompts like "Fastest growing sellers in Coffee Makers" and more complex ones combining brand, revenue, and growth thresholds are supported, along with including or excluding specific sellers by name.
May 2026
Fixed Price Campaigns Landing in Cobalt
Sponsored Brand fixed price campaigns are now landing in Cobalt. For these campaigns, Amazon charges a flat fee for the campaign's lifespan. Amazon doesn't report a cost for these directly today; this will be iterated on to set daily cost using the campaign's budget.
Search by ASIN in Product Catalog
The Product Catalog search input now supports searching by ASIN, in addition to product title. Paste an ASIN directly into the main search field to jump to the exact product faster when working from Amazon, exports, reports, or anywhere else an ASIN is the fastest identifier.
Improved Category Search in Market Analysis
Category search now uses semantic search, improved keyword matching, and improved performance. Semantic search understands the contextual meaning and intent behind a search, so you don't need to know the exact terms in a category name to find it. Currently limited to the Category Selector in Market Analysis, with other category selectors planned.
Included Products Filter in Market Analysis
You can now add a specific list of ASINs to a Market Analysis segment. These ASINs are always included in the segment, regardless of other filters applied.
AI Filters in Market Analysis
Build Market Analysis segments using natural language prompts. Start building a segment with a prompt and further refine the filters using the new AI Filter - a particularly powerful way to build segments in non-English speaking marketplaces, since it can find the category and translate product title keywords into the language of the marketplace. Available to all customers; note that the Seller filter is not yet wired up to the AI Filter.
Category Filter and Columns in Product Catalog
Parent Category and Category columns have been added to the Product Catalog tabs. A category filter has also been added, showing only categories where your organization has products.
Product Group-By in Seller Central & Vendor Central Data Sources
Product (Image + Title + ASIN) is now available as a group-by option in all Seller Central and Vendor Central dashboard data sources.
Market Share by Units Option Added to Market Analysis
You can now toggle between Revenue and Units when viewing Market Share in Market Analysis, including in drawers. Optional columns are also available in Brand and Category tables to display your preferred Market Share (Revenue) or Market Share (Units) metric.
New Date Ranges in the Homepage
The Executive Homepage now supports Last Month, Last Quarter, and Last 12 Months date ranges.
Seller Filter Available in Market Analysis
Filtering by Seller is now supported in Market Analysis, similar to the brand filter. Supports both include and exclude, and prepopulates with relevant sellers when category or brand filters are already applied.
Additional Product Table Columns Available in Market Analysis
New optional columns are available for customization in the All Products table. Options include:
- Average Listing Price
- Average Shipping Price
- Country of Origin
- First Date Available
- Manufacturer Part Number
- FSA/HSA Eligible
- Sustainability Features
- EAN, GTIN, and UPC Codes
- Unit Count
These columns are also available in exports.
Export Market Analysis Data
You can now export data directly from Market Analysis. The export button is available on the table in the Brands, Products, Categories, and Attributes tabs. Here's how it works:
- Choose which columns to include - your current table column selection is the default, but you can adjust before exporting
- Sort the export by any field before downloading - if your segment exceeds 20,000 rows, the sort order determines which rows are included, so sort by your most important metric first
- Export as CSV or Excel
- Files are named automatically with the segment name, tab, date range, and export date
- Exports are capped at 20,000 rows
Note: Market Analysis exports go directly to your downloads folder and won't appear in the CSV Downloads manager.
Mexico Marketplace Now Available in Market Analysis
Mexico marketplace data is now available in Market Analysis. You can now analyze your competitive landscape and segment performance across the Mexico marketplace alongside existing supported marketplaces. Mexico marketplace access requires it to be included in your contract - reach out to your CSM to add it.
Seller Compliance: Lost Revenue Replaces Estimated Revenue
"Estimated Revenue" on the Seller Compliance page has been renamed to "Lost Revenue" to better reflect what it measures. Lost Revenue is calculated using your actual performance data to estimate how much revenue you would have captured if you had been winning the Buy Box instead of another seller. This is distinct from Estimated 3P Revenue in Market Analysis and Market Segments, which measures something different.
Estimated Revenue Now Available in Seller Panel and Buy Box Performance Tab
An Estimated Revenue column has been added to two places where it wasn't available before.
- The Seller slide-out panel, showing the estimated revenue overlap between that seller and your catalog
- The Buy Box Performance tab under Product Detail, showing estimated revenue across all offers on a product
Corrected Potential Lost Revenue Calculation for Vendor Central Products
Potential Lost Revenue figures for Vendor Central products have been corrected. The previous calculation incorrectly handled Buy Box percentage for products where page view data isn't available - which is common for Vendor Central integrations. This caused significant over-reporting in some cases. The corrected formula now produces accurate figures.
Exclude Brands in Market Analysis
The Brands filter in Market Analysis now supports excluding brands - not just including them. Previously you could only select brands to include in your view. You can now exclude specific brands from both the segment view and directly from rows in the Brands tab, making it easier to remove known competitors or your own brands to focus your analysis.
April 2026
Best Seller Rank (BSR) Now Available in Market Analysis Product Detail
Best Seller Rank (BSR) is now available as a metric in the timeseries chart inside Market Analysis product detail panels. Track BSR trends over time alongside your other key performance metrics directly from the product detail view.
Share of Voice: Updated Keyword Weighting Methodology
How keyword visibility is weighted in Share of Voice has been updated. The weighting methodology options available when analyzing Share of Voice data have changed. You may notice shifts in SOV distribution under the new methodology - Equal Weighted and Position Weighted are unaffected.
- Visibility Weighted (new) - combines vertical prominence (fold position) and module size so full-width placements like Sponsored Brand Headline and Sponsored Brand Video receive more weight than standard tiles. This better reflects which brands are visually dominating the page and is now the recommended methodology. Applies to reporting periods on or after January 1, 2026 - for dates before that, Visibility Weighted reflects the previous Fold and Area methodology. Available in the Keyword Performance tab and Dashboards as Brand SOV % - VW.
- Equal Weighted - previously called Non-Weighted, renamed to more clearly reflect how it works. All tracked keywords contribute equally regardless of position or placement size. No changes to this methodology.
- DEPRECATED Fold & Area Weighted - this methodology relied on pixel-based area calculations that were sensitive to rendering differences and difficult to replicate consistently. It is no longer available.
Data Cloud This update also impacts Data Cloud. Both the previous and new datasets are available starting April 30, 2026.
Filter Within Expanded Chart Views
Timeseries charts on the Executive Homepage and Seller Compliance page now have their own filters when expanded. When you open a chart in the expanded popout view, only the filters relevant to that chart's data are available - and adjusting them affects only the popout, not the rest of the page.
Switch Between Metrics in the Market Analysis Side Panel
The side panel in Market Analysis now lets you switch between metrics without leaving the view. Select a category, brand, product, price band, or attribute to open the side panel, then switch the chart between revenue, market share, units, and price to quickly explore performance from different angles.
Filter Dashboards by Brand Across Seller Central and Vendor Central Data
You can now filter by Brand across all Seller Central and Vendor Central dashboard data sources. The filter shows your organization's own brands and works at both the widget and tab level, giving you a faster way to focus your dashboard views on the brands that matter most.
